We extend a very warm welcome to our Provincial Fr Oliver Barry, OMI who will be with us for the weekend.

We also welcome to our Vigil Mass a choir of around (18 people) from Sweden who are visiting Edinburgh, they will sing a post communion song.

Safeguarding Audit:
The Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh has been chosen to be reviewed by an external audit team from the Social Care Institute for
Excellence (SCIE)/Children in Scotland from 26-28 March 2019. the audit team would like to hear from anyone who has disclosed abuse, shared concerns of unsafe people or practice and also from survivors of non-recent Church-related abuse, their families and friends. Copies of a notice containing further information and contact details for the SCIE are available at the back of the church. (On Safeguarding notice board).

During Lent you will have the opportunity to enjoy some quiet time with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Mon-Thurs 11:30-Mass at 12noon
Stations of the Cross on Friday from 11:15 am. All very welcome.

Lent Retreats:
Commenced on Ash Wednesday, 6th March. There are several ways in which you can participate. You can join online at http://www.lentretreat.uk by signing up online you will receive a daily reflection and suggestions for prayer. A book is also be available from the parish office.
You are also invited on one of three sessions, based on the above, which we will be offering during Lent. Times for these are: Wednesday morning 7:15am, Wednesday afternoons at 12:30 and Thursday evenings at 7:00pm.
(please note change of time for Wednesday morning)

We received a lovely letter from Sr Aelred, thanking us for the cheque for £2,255.00 raised at the Race Night, I have put it up on the notice board.

SCIAF-TOGERTHER WE CAN END POVERTY
If you wish to take a “Wee Box” home with you please see Danni after Mass at the back of the Church, by doing so we can help the people of Uganda who are trapped in extreme poverty.

YOUTH ALPHA!
Please continue to pray for the young people. Thank you.

Games and Equipment we are looking for donations of board games or sports equipment to be used for Youth Groups and clubs in our Parish. If you have any that you are no longer using, and wish them to be pout to use please bring them to the presbytery or hand them to Stephanie. Thank you.

GUESS THE DOG’S BIRTHDAY
The Youth Formation group are fundraising for our retreat weekend in March. It is 50p a go and will be at the back of the church and in the hall for teas and coffees. You’ll win the dog and a £10 gift voucher, so why not give it a go!!

Altar Server Training for current Altar servers on Thursday 28th March at 6pm

Oscar Romero event 23rd March, Ecumenical Event:
Starting at St John’s Church, Princes Street 9:30am we will walk
together to local churches for a short time of prayer and reflection. Our journey will end at the Sacred Heart Church, Lauriston Street, where we will have an opportunity to visit the Romero Shrine and also watch the Film, “The Claim”. Contact Andrew Cassidy at Sacred Heart for more info.

After our Eco discussions, the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation group has created a display at the back of the church. We would like to find out your views, so do please take a moment to get involved and ‘weight’ your preferences on some of he charts, so that we see what opinions are and can find ways of broadening eco-initiatives in the parish.
If you would like to get more involved in these projects, our next meeting is on Wednesday 27th March 6pm, in Stephanie and Sally’s office, all very welcome.
