SPONSORED WALK IN AID OF LET THE CHILDREN LIVE SUNDAY 4th AUGUST 2019
Joe Storrie, is a long standing parishioner in St Mary Star of the Sea is now partially sighted but despite this Joe has decided to do a sponsored walk in aid of this great charity.
Joe will leave the hall after Mass and walk to Joppa.

Congratulations to Lauren Fong, a pupil at Holyrood High School, who won the Vittoria Group pizza competition which took place in school. The Hoisin “Holy Rood Pizza” will be live on La Favorita’s menu from 22nd July for 2 weeks.

JPIC LITTER PICK, SAVE THE DATE!

The Justice and peace group are organising a litter pick along the water of Leith on Sunday 11th August after Mass. Do put it in your diary to come along and join us if you can, all welcome.

The JPIC (justice, peace and integrity of creation) group welcomes new members, our next meeting is Wednesday 7th August at 6pm

Prayer Group continues to meet every Tuesday at 7:30pm & Wednesday after Mass. For more information, see Br Phillip
Please note Sunday teas will be off on Sunday 7th & Sunday 14th July for Holiday. Basic teas will resume on Sunday 21st July

NUNRAW ABBEY-NEW GUEST HOUSE many will have fond memories of short visits to the Cistercian Abbey or longer stays at the Old Abbey Guest House set in the rolling hills above Haddington.
Sadly the Old Guest House had to be sold but providence has seen the proceeds being used to set up a New Guest House which is now open.
9 rooms, all en-suite and with wi-fi access, can cater for up to 15 guests. There are also 2 rooms suitable for wheel-chair users and a carer. There is also a guest lounge and refectory.
Charges are very reasonable. Day trippers will as always be welcomed for light refreshments with opportunities for purchasing cards, books and an extensive range of religious articles from the shop.
